BASIC PREPARATION
Wash down areas to be painted assuring a clean, sound surface for good paint adhesion. remove mildew, caulk wood areas, especially around doors and windows subject to water penetration, prime as necessary, trench to seal base of buildings below dirt level, patch stucco to match existing texture and prime as necessary, cover plants, walkways, and other adjacent areas to avoid paint drips or over spray.
